På Torvet – café, lunch and smørrebrød in Ærøskøbing

Located in the centre of Ærøskøbing, På Torvet is an informal and welcoming place focused on good food, a relaxed atmosphere and space for both locals and visitors to the island.

We primarily serve lunch, offering a carefully selected range where quality, flavour and good ingredients are at the core. The kitchen works simply and seasonally, and the selection may therefore vary throughout the year.

Smørrebrød remains a central part of our lunch service in Ærøskøbing, complemented by other dishes depending on the season and the setting of the day. Rather than a fixed menu, the current offering is presented on the board in the restaurant.

The café is part of På Torvet, where we also offer accommodation in the heart of Ærøskøbing’s historic town centre.

På Torvet is a natural meeting place in town – whether you stop by for lunch or simply feel like something good to eat and drink while we are open.

We generally operate without table reservations.

På Torvet is closed for the winter season from 21 December to 27 March.
Opening hours and service vary throughout the season and may, in selected periods, extend beyond lunchtime.
