Terms and Conditions

1. General

These terms and conditions apply to stays and purchases made with På Torvet, Torvet 7, 5970 Ærøskøbing, Denmark, CVR no. 40096426 (Jydholm Group I/S).

By completing a booking, the guest accepts these terms and conditions.

2. Booking and payment

Bookings can be made via På Torvet’s website, by email, or through third-party booking platforms.

A booking is only considered final once payment has been completed or when På Torvet has confirmed the booking in writing, depending on the booking channel.

For bookings made via På Torvet’s own website, payment is made at the time of reservation.

3. Prices

All prices are stated in Danish kroner (DKK) and include VAT.

Any additional services will be specified during the booking process.

4. Cancellation

Cancellations can be made free of charge up to and including 30 days before arrival.

In case of cancellation 29 days before arrival or later, the stay is non-refundable.

In the event of no-show, the stay is considered cancelled and is non-refundable.

Special cancellation terms may apply to certain events, groups, or periods. These will be specified at the time of booking.

5. Changes

If changes to an existing booking are requested, the guest is asked to contact På Torvet as soon as possible.

På Torvet cannot guarantee that all changes can be accommodated but will do its best within the given circumstances.

6. Breakfast

Breakfast may be included depending on the season and the specific stay.

If breakfast is included, this will be clearly stated during the booking process.

7. Check-in and check-out

Check-in is available from 2:30 PM.

Check-in is generally self-service via key box. Instructions, including access codes, will be sent to the guest prior to arrival.

The guest is responsible for reading and following the provided check-in instructions.

On certain days, in-person check-in may be available. Guests will be informed in advance if this applies.

Check-out is no later than 10:00 AM. Late check-out is not possible.

8. Cleaning during stay

Cleaning is generally not provided during the stay.

If needed, towel replacement and waste disposal can be arranged upon request.

9. Parking and arrival

Free public parking is available at Pilebækken, approximately 200 meters from the hotel.

During the summer period, the town center of Ærøskøbing is closed to car traffic, and it is therefore not possible to drive directly to Torvet.

10. Gift cards

Gift cards issued by På Torvet can be used for stays and services by prior agreement.

Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash and are non-refundable.

Validity and any special conditions will be stated on the gift card or at the time of issue.

11. Third-party services

På Torvet cannot be held responsible for services provided by third parties, including ferry transport, bicycle rental, or other external partners.

12. Force majeure

På Torvet cannot be held responsible for failure to fulfill obligations due to circumstances beyond its control.

13. Liability

På Torvet does not accept responsibility for the guest’s personal belongings during the stay.

14. Complaints

Any complaints should be addressed directly to På Torvet during the stay or as soon as possible after departure.

15. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms and conditions are governed by Danish law, and any disputes shall be settled by the Danish courts.
