Terms & Conditions

1. General

These terms and conditions apply to stays and purchases made with På Torvet, Torvet 7, 5970 Ærøskøbing, Denmark, CVR no. 40096426 (Jydholm Group I/S).

By completing a booking, the guest accepts these terms and conditions.

2. Booking and payment

Bookings can be made via the På Torvet website, by email or through third-party booking platforms.

A booking is only considered final once payment has been completed or the booking has been confirmed in writing by På Torvet, depending on the booking channel.

3. Prices

All prices are stated in Danish kroner (DKK) and include VAT.

Any additional services will be specified at the time of booking.

4. Cancellation

Cancellations can be made free of charge up to 30 days prior to arrival.

Cancellations made 29 days prior to arrival or later are non-refundable.

Special cancellation terms may apply to group bookings, events or specific periods and will be stated at the time of booking.

In case of no-show, the stay is considered cancelled and is non-refundable.

5. Changes

If changes to an existing booking are requested, guests are asked to contact På Torvet as soon as possible.

På Torvet cannot guarantee that all changes can be accommodated.

6. Breakfast

Breakfast may be included depending on the season and the specific stay.

If breakfast is included, this will be clearly stated at the time of booking. No discount is offered in periods where breakfast is not available.

7. Check-in and check-out

Check-in is between 2:30 PM and 5:00 PM.

Arrivals after 5:00 PM are handled via key box. Guests must notify På Torvet of late arrival no later than the day before arrival.

On certain days, check-in may only be possible via key box. Guests will be informed in advance if this applies.

Check-out is no later than 10:00 AM. Late check-out is not possible.

8. Housekeeping

Housekeeping is not provided during the stay as standard.

Fresh towels and waste removal can be arranged upon request.

9. Parking and arrival

Free public parking is available at Pilebækken, approximately 200 metres from the square.

During the summer season, the historic centre of Ærøskøbing is closed to car traffic.

10. Gift cards

Gift cards issued by På Torvet can be used for stays and services by prior agreement.

Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

11. Third-party services

På Torvet cannot be held responsible for services provided by third parties, including ferry transport and other external providers.

12. Force majeure

På Torvet cannot be held liable for failure to fulfil obligations due to circumstances beyond its control.

13. Liability

Stays are at the guest’s own responsibility.

14. Complaints

Any complaints should be addressed directly to På Torvet during the stay or as soon as possible after departure.

15. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Danish law, and any disputes shall be settled by the Danish courts.
