At På Torvet, we offer calm rooms and spacious apartments located directly on the town square in Ærøskøbing. You stay centrally, with the harbour, cobbled streets, cafés and nature just outside your door.

Our rooms are particularly well suited for couples, while the apartments are ideal for families and small groups who want more space and the option to prepare simple meals. All units have private bathrooms.

Spring is one of the most peaceful and beautiful times to visit Ærø. From 27 March, we open the season with spring stays, offering accommodation in the heart of Ærøskøbing – close to the harbour, nature and town life, with calm and space as the defining experience.

All our apartments are the original apartments in the old school building, carefully renovated with respect for their warm and historic character. Just a few steps up the beautiful spiral staircase, you will find charming accommodation with a private bathroom, kitchen and living room, overlooking the old town square and its cobbled streets.

Our apartments are well suited for 2–4 guests. Dogs and other pets are not allowed.

The apartments are ideal for guests who want more space and the option of longer stays on Ærø.

Apartments are booked with fixed arrival and departure days: Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.

All our rooms are located in the Old Lantern Factory and feature a private bathroom, bedroom and a small lounge area, where you can relax after one or several walks through the cobbled streets of Ærøskøbing.

We offer rooms on both the ground floor and the upper floor. Dogs and other pets are not allowed.

The rooms are ideal for couples and shorter stays, with a focus on comfort and a central location in Ærøskøbing.

Rooms can be booked for one night Sunday–Thursday or as a weekend stay.

Is På Torvet a hotel?

Yes – På Torvet offers accommodation comparable to a hotel, but in a smaller, more personal and informal setting. Like many places in Ærøskøbing, we are a boutique-style property rather than a large traditional hotel. This means fewer rooms, a calm atmosphere and a more independent, relaxed stay.

Practical information before your stay

Below you will find helpful information to make your stay as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

🕒 Arrival & departure
Check-in is from 2:30 PM and is generally self-service.
About 4 days before arrival, we will send you all necessary check-in details, including instructions for using the key boxes.
Check-out is no later than 10:00 AM. Late check-out is unfortunately not available.

🍽️ Breakfast
Breakfast is served in the café during the season and is included in selected periods.
The breakfast offering is adapted to the number of guests staying with us.
If you are unsure whether breakfast is included on your dates, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

🧹 Housekeeping during your stay
Rooms are not serviced daily as standard.
Fresh towels and waste collection are available upon request – just contact the staff.

🚗 Parking
We recommend free parking at Pilebækken, where there are also electric vehicle charging stations and a pleasant path leading directly to På Torvet – only 200 metres away.
Please note: during the summer season, parts of Ærøskøbing town centre are closed to car traffic.

🚢 Arrival by ferry
We are located about 500 metres from the ferry terminal in Ærøskøbing.
