Apartments

All our apartments are the original apartments in the old school building, carefully renovated to preserve their warm and historic character. Just a few steps up the beautiful spiral staircase, you will find charming accommodation with a private bathroom, kitchen and living room, with views over the old town square and its cobbled streets.

Our apartments are well suited for 2–4 guests. Dogs and other pets are not allowed.

The apartments are especially suitable for longer stays and for families who wish to have more space during their stay on Ærø.

Rooms

All our rooms are located in the Old Lantern Factory and feature a private bathroom, a bedroom and a small lounge area – ideal for relaxing after one or several walks through the streets of Ærøskøbing.

We offer rooms both on the ground floor and on the upper floor. Dogs and other pets are not allowed.

The rooms are ideal for couples and shorter stays, with a focus on comfort and a central location in Ærøskøbing.

Booking and periods

🏡 Minimum stay
Rooms: 1 night Sunday–Thursday · weekend stays Friday–Sunday
Apartments: Fixed changeover days Tuesday, Friday and Sunday

🍽️ Breakfast
Breakfast is served in the café during the season and is included in selected periods. If you are unsure whether breakfast is included on your dates, you are always welcome to contact us.

April is a popular period for calm spring stays and short holidays on Aeroe. Read more about spring stays in April.

🌞 Summer 2026
During the summer period, we are fully booked from Friday to Tuesday due to fixed island stays.
» Overnight stays are therefore available Tuesday–Friday only.

🍂 Autumn & winter
Stays during autumn differ from the high season and take place in quieter surroundings.

Practical information for your stay

Below you will find useful information to help make your stay as smooth and pleasant as possible.

🕒 Arrival & departure
Check-in is between 2:30 PM and 5:00 PM.
Arrivals after 5:00 PM are handled via key box. Please inform us no later than the day before arrival so we can send you the necessary details.
On certain days, arrival may only be possible via key box – if so, you will be informed in advance.
Check-out is no later than 10:00 AM. Late check-out is not available.

🧹 Housekeeping during your stay
As a general rule, cleaning is not provided during the stay.
If you need fresh towels or rubbish collection, we are of course happy to help – simply contact the staff.

🚗 Parking
We recommend free parking at Pilebækken, approximately 200 metres from the town square. Charging stations for electric vehicles are available, as well as a pleasant footpath leading towards the town centre.
During the summer season, parts of Ærøskøbing town centre are closed to car traffic, and it is therefore not possible to drive directly to our location.

🚢 Arrival by ferry
Ærø is reached by ferry from the Danish mainland. Most international guests travel via Copenhagen or Southern Jutland, continuing by train and ferry or by car.
Ferry connections are reliable and well coordinated, and we recommend booking tickets in advance during the high season.
We are located close to the harbour – approximately 500 metres from the ferry terminal in Ærøskøbing.

🐶 Dogs
Dogs and other pets are generally not allowed. Exceptionally, one dog is permitted in Apartment no. 0 (ground floor) for an additional fee per stay.
